The Hatch & Habitat 2-Inch Terrarium Vents were designed to provide a clean, secure way to add controlled ventilation to reptile and amphibian enclosures without relying on basic open holes or improvised screen material.

Each vent is 3D printed in durable PETG and installs using a threaded, removable lock ring, creating a secure mechanical connection through the enclosure wall.

Choose between Standard and Long-Reach versions depending on the material thickness of your enclosure.

Two Sizes for Different Enclosure Builds

Standard Fit
The Standard vent is ideal for thinner enclosure walls and works especially well for:

• Plastic tubs
• Shoebox-style enclosure conversions
• Hatchling and grow-out setups
• DIY terrarium projects
• Other thin-wall enclosure applications

It provides the same secure threaded installation without unnecessary extra thread length inside smaller or thinner enclosures.

Long-Reach Fit – For PVC Enclosures up to 6 mm Thick
The Long version was specifically optimized for the thicker walls commonly found on PVC reptile enclosures.

Its extended threaded section allows the vent to securely pass through enclosure walls up to approximately 6 mm thick, making it an excellent option for custom PVC builds and commercially produced PVC habitats.

Shared Interchangeable Lock-Ring System

Both versions use the same threaded lock-ring interface.

That means the lock rings are interchangeable between the Standard and Long-Reach vents, keeping the system simple and allowing you to use the same locking hardware across different enclosure projects.

No need to keep track of different lock rings for different vent lengths.

Easy-Grip Lock Rings

The lock rings include integrated grip sections around the outside edge, making them easier to hold, tighten, and remove by hand.

This is especially useful when working inside an enclosure or in other areas where getting a good grip on a smooth round ring would otherwise be difficult.

The grip geometry was intentionally incorporated into the design to make installation and future removal more convenient without requiring special tools.

Durable PETG Construction

The vent assemblies are printed in PETG, chosen for its combination of:

• Toughness and impact resistance
• Moisture resistance
• Better temperature resistance than standard PLA
• Durability in humid reptile and amphibian environments
• Slight flexibility that helps avoid the brittle behavior associated with some rigid printed plastics

This makes PETG particularly well suited for long-term use in terrariums, vivariums, tubs, and PVC enclosures.

Threaded, Removable Installation

Rather than permanently gluing the vent into place, the vent body passes through the enclosure wall and is secured from the opposite side with the threaded lock ring.

This gives you a clean installation while still allowing the vent to be removed, serviced, replaced, or transferred later if necessary.
